I'm Gabe, an Australian-trained behavior practitioner living in Tel Aviv. I help English-speaking families of kids with autism, ADHD, PDA, and big behavior find strategies that actually work at home. Face to face in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, online anywhere in Israel.
Everything is grounded in positive behavior support: understanding why a behavior happens, then changing the conditions around it and teaching skills, never punishing your kid into compliance.
Regular sessions, online or in person, where we unpack what's happening and leave you with strategies you can use that same day.
I come to you, watch how the tricky moments actually unfold, and build a simple plan matched to what the behavior is doing for your child.
Help getting everyone on the same page, so home and school stop pulling in different directions.
Change sticks when someone's in your corner between sessions.
PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance, often reframed as a Persistent Drive for Autonomy) is a profile where ordinary requests, even nice ones, feel threatening and trigger fight-or-flight. Standard reward charts and firm boundaries usually make it worse, and parents end up blamed for "inconsistency."
PDA is barely known in Israel, and English-speaking parents who learned about it from UK and US communities often can't find anyone here who works this way. I do: low-demand approaches, autonomy-first strategies, and rebuilding trust before rebuilding routines.
I'm a behavior support practitioner from Perth, Australia, now living in Tel Aviv. In Australia I work at the advanced level of the national disability scheme's behavior support system, writing and reviewing behavior support plans and supervising other practitioners. If that work has taught me one thing, it's that strategies have to match the reason a behavior happens, or they don't work.
I still review behavior support plans for an Australian provider every week, so my practice stays current.
I'm also an oleh. I know what it's like to land in a new country, decode a new system in a language you're still learning, and try to hold a family steady through it.
The exact path depends on your kid and what's going on, but this is the typical shape.
15 to 20 minutes on WhatsApp or Zoom. You tell me what's going on; I tell you honestly whether I can help.
We meet properly, at home or online, and I complete a functional behavior assessment: working out what the behavior is actually doing for your child.
A practical behavior support plan in plain English, built for your actual life. Sometimes a short follow-up session helps me complete the picture first.
We go through the plan together and practice the strategies until you feel confident using them.
After that, follow-up sessions and WhatsApp check-ins are there as you need them, and the plan gets adjusted as your kid grows.
Everything is 200 NIS per hour: assessment sessions, plan training, and follow-ups.
This is a starting rate. I'm new in Israel and building my client base here, and the rate will go up as my schedule fills.
Tell me a little about your kid and what's been hard lately. No forms required, no commitment, and it's completely fine if you're just working out whether this is the right kind of help.
